The Dayton Economic Development Corporation (DEDC) is proud to announce the completion of new lighting improvements at Henderson Park, which is located at 623 Luke Street. The improvements are designed to enhance safety, accessibility, and usability for residents and families throughout the community.

Funded by the DEDC, the project included the installation of new lighting for the basketball court, driveway and parking lot, improving visibility and extending the usability of the park during evening hours. The improvements support the community’s growing recreational needs while continuing investments into public spaces that enhance the quality of life in Dayton.

“Henderson Park is an important asset for our community, and these improvements help create a safer and more welcoming environment for everyone who uses the park,” said Chris Jarmon, DEDC’s director of economic development. “Projects like this reflect our commitment to investing in amenities that support both residents and the long-term growth of Dayton.”

Henderson Park serves as one of Dayton’s key recreational destinations, offering space for basketball, walking, outdoor activities, and family gatherings. The newly completed lighting project will allow visitors to enjoy the park more comfortably during evening hours while supporting increased community use.

The DEDC continues to prioritize projects that improve infrastructure, strengthen community amenities, and contribute to Dayton’s ongoing growth and development.
