The Dayton Economic Development Corporation (DEDC) is proud to announce the installation of new playground equipment at Parker Park, providing an upgraded recreational space for local families and children to enjoy.

The project, funded by the DEDC, included the removal of outdated playground equipment, the installation of an Ascend Demi Helix, a Two-Seat Retro Rocker, and the installation of engineered wood fiber in all play areas of Parker Park.

The newly installed playground equipment improves safety, while also offering modern play features designed to encourage outdoor activity, recreation, and family engagement in one of the community’s valued public parks.

“Investments in parks and public spaces help strengthen our community and improve the overall quality of life for Dayton residents,” said Chris Jarmon, DEDC’s Director of Economic Development. “We are excited to support improvements at Parker Park and create a space that families can enjoy for years to come.”
